Maybe I just can’t use digital properly, or photoshop, but my slides from a $20 Holga turned out better than my digi files from a $1500 DSLR. This is a shot of Cavendish beach with my holga on a tripod, and my finger holding down the shutter in bulb mode.
On our second day in PEI Nat and I did a tour of the island, stopping at a couple of beaches to have some PBR’s and swim in the Ocean. This huge bay is called Canoe Cove, we chased crabs around in the sand, and I went swimming, it was a fun day.
This is a photo of Leslie at Cavendish beach in PEI. Leslie is a super cool girl that Nat and I met in Montreal through a mutual friend, she is also the reason that I managed to convince Nat to let me get Grimace (the kitty). Leslie moved back to PEI for a couple of months before she heads down to Argentina this fall, and met up with us 3 times while we were on the Island.

So it’s been raining, then being freezing cold, then raining, then being warm and sunny and so on for the past 3 weeks. I had my first photo show this week, the opening party was last night at Blizzarts, I think it went pretty well. Familly and friends came up from Ottawa, and those friends that I have made in Montreal came out as well. I recently sold my 35mm camera (the canon 1v-hs) and am looking at getting a fish for my bronica. In the mean time, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my holga 120n, it doesn’t always produce the best results, but they’re fun to use and kind of exciting to get the prints back. A photo of the street at my cottage.
