We shot this one back in the spring, it’s a pretty sketchy spot in terms of cars flying by Aaron at 80 on the parkway, and the 15′ drop to face break if he goes over the rail. I was immediately happy with this one as soon as I shot it, I wish we would have shot a little later in the day to get a nice glowy sunset instead of this blown out one.. we probably should have waited around. In cases like these sometimes 4 nikon sb80s just aren’t powerful enough.

So long 2008, happy new year.

The Triton didn’t used to be locked onto that yellow thing, and you could move it around, unfortunately by the time we got around to shooting it, the chain was in place.. hence the busy background.

This was actually from my first day out with my new D300, who else would i test the camera on than Aaron. Fs flip off the bump and over the beaver pylon. We shot some sequences that day as well, and much to my delight, the memory card that they had sent me was corrupted, and about every 15th photo was unusable, which usually resulted in one of the key frames of the sequence being missing.. I was not happy. Check out the gash on aarons leg

I was really stoked on this photo, the tree in the background is actually about 150 feet back, so I used a long lens to bring it closer to Aaron, and lit it up with a flash in the field. Used 3 other flashes to light aaron.

Hands down one of my favourite photos from the summer. I shot this one at the Gloucester skate park where Chris and I used to skate almost everyday, we used to just ollie over the barriers, we never actually skated them like this. Now the ground there sucks, and its hard to remember how we even had that much fun skating that park. This shot was actually scary, Aaron kept coming really close to smashing me with his board, I was lying down camera in hand. Shot with 4 flashes, 3 of them all together just on the other side of the barrier, and one right behind me, all at full power, and zoomed in.

I think for anyone that knows Aaron the real title of this blog post should be Aaron can die now, he’s in Miami or Tampa with Tomas and Charlie this week and next. I don’t know what he’s going to do when he sees this, probably cry, I don’t even want to know the motivation he’s going to have when he gets back.

Anyways I shot this FS Flip of Aaron on the first or second day shooting this spring, it was the day Sarah Dea, James and that other dude came out actually (if you scroll a few back you can see a loose fish photo of them all set up). Anyways fs flip over the chain, I was hyped on this from Day 1.

I also got a few more photos, in the magazine, specifically this big one of my good friend Tomas on the mini at OnDeck and a few photos of the shop, our trip to miami and Trev. ( bottom left photo 2nd from the left is Chris, 3rd from the left is me.. who knew!)
