Another photo from the summer that never ended up anywhere, this day was actually really productive.. actually most days out with Aaron are. You can see the museum fuzz showing up in the right side of the photo, Aaron actually landed this just in time.

I got an email a few weeks ago asking for my mailing information, which meant SBC was actually going to run an article on my good friend Sean Fraser.. aka Fox Fraser, sure enough Friday afternoon Sean called me; which meant he had seen it too. Sean got a small write up about him playing shows in and around the Laurentians area if you get the chance to see him, it’s well worth it.

This is actually a photo that Neil and I meant to shoot all summer and never got around to, we were out somewhere else shooting something else and it started to rain, so we packed up and headed out. Neil lives right by this spot and by the time we got to his hood it wasn’t raining. So we went over to shoot it, when we showed up security was already outside, so we pretended we were shooting “modeling portraits” where he wanted to hit the wall, they eventually went inside and Neil did one of these:

This spot is super hard to skate, basically no run up and the only run up you do have is at a bad angle. Neil was going to 3 flip into the bank but he’s a big pussy, so Aaron did this trick instead. This was beside the pier that we spent the day on, 2 sketchy dudes on skateboards showed up and weirded me out, they told us we shouldn’t skate their after dark anymore because of gangs or something. They ended up being sketchy nice guys; even climbing some palm trees and hooking us up with fresh coconuts. Basically anywhere you go in Miami there’s some guy willing to climb a tree to get you a coconut, either so he can tell you his life story, bum a smoke or ask for a dollar.

I did a shoot with Val about a month ago, I just took forever to get to the photos. I always seem to get side tracked, speaking of which I still have about 10 outstanding ones to edit.. grr.

Neil again? We’d been planning this photo for a long time, actually that’s not true, Neil was claiming this one all summer, we finally got around to it in September… how bout that 21 stair Neil? Anyways he didn’t bitch out and did it in 7 tries, committing every time.

Hanging out on the pier in Miami skating all day was probably one of the best and most fun days I had on the trip, if not in the past year or two, I was also practicing my skills for National Geographic, I think with these random bird photos they’ll be calling me any day now. I decided to post 2, because there’s no way I’m making 2 seperate posts with photos of birds.

Neil lands tricks? I’m just kidding, this was from Miami back in May, we headed out on a mission that night driving all over the place, and eventually ended up here, for some reason this place sketched me out more than anywhere else we went. Which is pretty weird considering it was a decent neighbourhood, not that late at night, and my first day in Miami was spent at a place called Bullet Ledge, so you’d think I could handle pretty much anything. Anyways we got in and out of this place fast, and Neil landed this buttery 5-0 pivot to fakie and off the drop.

Another photo of Alison from Cover Models Management, we shot this one outside on sparks street in Ottawa. It was actually pretty cold outside, I already miss the summer.

So I’ve been keeping this one under wraps for a while, but this is hella sick. OnDeck is celebrating their 20th anniversary in business this year, so Tomas did up a new deck using my photos of each person on the team. They’re going to be available for purchase around Dec 1st in the shop. I’m looking forward to seeing them, and contact me if you’re looking to pick one up for yourself.
