This is Nat on the day after my birthday, we went up to Tremblant for the weekend to hang out, go snowboarding and relax, kind of a down tempo birthday compared to my usual ones. Oddly enough it was pretty nice to wake up the next day without a hangover.. i must be getting old.

I finally got the new Color mag in the mail yesterday, it was much anticipated to say the least. This is the first time I’ve had a skate photo published in a skate magazine, so I was hella stoked, even more stoked that it’s Color Mag. If you can find it, pick up a copy, Jeremy Elkin’s new film Floorwork premiering soonish has a 4 pager in there with some rad photos, including a 2 page spread by my buddy Ben Fournier.

Honest Eds is my favourite store in Toronto, ok well maybe not my favourite, but I always love seeing it. Nick and Michelle told me that at Christmas and Thanksgiving, they sell turkeys for $1 so that people without as much financial means can have a turkey dinner too.

Another photo from June of 2005 when I was in Quebec city with Outnumbered, not too sure where we were going, but I took a photo of this on the way. I’ve always liked buildings that form a tunnel for a road, I’m not too sure why, they just always fascinate me. I can’t quite remember if it’s the other side of what you see here, or what was directly behind/above me, but there was somewhere that had apartments over this road.

So a while back I got called into my bosses office, we needed to do an emergency photo shoot for a client and one on a tight budget. So myself, a graphic designer, a consultant, and Kris my co-worker as the model, went to the studio and shot a bunch of “sporty” photos in an hour or so. The result: 1000′s of kids across Canada seeing photos of Kris looking like a goof.

The client is the Canadian Securities Administrators, who have created a website to educate kids on proper ways to save and spend money. I’ve included a few more of the photos that I did for this shoot, you can view them in a java popup window by clicking here.
We went shooting this past winter in the underground at Carleton, Marty pretty much stepped up and landed this over and over, he’s got too much skill. This one ran in the latest Color Magazine, so go buy Issue 5.1 and check it out.
