New York New York

March 31st, 2007 2 comments

Here’s another instance of me having a 6×6 back in the Holga, and winding the film for 4.5 x 6. This was from a business trip to New York sometime in 2006, we had some good food, a long drive, and I drank my bar fridge in the room empty. Heinekens for $7 each.. and work wasn’t footing the bill ouch. I really wish this roll had turned out without the overlapping, but what can you do. Click to see a larger version.

Just a little print

March 30th, 2007 No comments

So I’m participating in a gallery in Toronto that’s going to be running from April 4th to 27th, it’s a collection of various action sports photographers around North America. I had 3 photos picked from the 5 I submitted, but due to circumstances, I ended up just getting 1 done of Tomas.

Tomas - Full Pipe

Got it printed at Proulx in Ottawa, and mounted on MDF, I have to say they did a great job and I’m very happy with it. Details on the show if you want to check it out are available here.

Stop

This stop sign should have been the first indication that walking from Michelle’s to Sunny’s through Highpark was not a good idea, it was warm enough out. Apparently High Park is a little bigger than your average park, and walking from one corner to the complete opposite is not a good idea. Oh well, I got to see some goats, llamas and peacocks.

So long PEI

March 27th, 2007 1 comment

This was the last photo from the Holga that I shot on the trip Nat and I took out east this past summer. I took this photo, while driving over the Confederation Bridge leaving PEI just a little too soon. I wish we had a little bit more time out there, and a little bit more money, but we still had a great time.

Neil Tre

The spring is here, and I spent the full day sick, at home, making this new blog, well mostly just importing (manually I might add) the blog posts one at a time from my old version. I wanted something a little more versatile, and less restrictive. Sometimes I feel the need to make posts like on my trip in BC, but didn’t have any photos to accompany a post. That being said, I will probably rarely if ever make posts without photos, so I just wasted a day doing this, just to have nifty categories and a little calendar.

I did sneak out of the house for a little bit today, before it started to snow, to re-shoot this spot (again) with Neil. Three flip on a shitty day:

Lucy

It’s been a while since the last update, I was in BC for the past week and a half riding it up in the interior… and I didn’t bring a camera. So here’s a photo from a few weeks before I left that I never got around to editing, make up was done by Erin Heather, and the model is Lucy from Modelmayhem.com.
