I finally had some money; so I brought in my 4 rolls of film that I put through my Holga on the East Coast Trip. Surprisingly enough I got about 3-4 keepers per 12 on each roll, not bad for a holga and Provia 100 slide film.

This photo is from a little town called Victoria by the Sea, Nat and I stopped for a snack there at the most delicious chocolate store, we climbed a lighthouse, and while Nat went to the library I snapped this photo of their small port.

This was the beach that Nat and I spent an afternoon on, it was our first beach date of the summer and also my favourite. We sat in the sand drinking cans of PBR, doing crossword puzzles, swimming and chasing crabs in the knee deep water.

The day we arrived in Halifax, Simon our gracious host (shown here), and long time close friend of mine anounced that the next day he would bring me surfing, this was fantastic as I had already had many pints, and was very much looking forward to it.

So we headed up to Lawrence Town in the rental car, picked up two rental boards for $20 each, and went surfing. I got up first try, although the waves were by no means massive, and stayed in the water for the next 3 hours paddling my ass off, sooooo much fun.
Thanks Sime!

Another Holga shot, pretty much the last from the 4 rolls that I’ve been posting from for the past 2 weeks or so. This one was on the first roll, I brought my holga to formula one in Montreal back in June and took a few photos, there are others with the cars in them, but I kind of like this mass of people and an empty track.

I need to re-shoot this photo, what a bad choice of angle, from the side would be proper except there’s a huge post in the way, but i think i’ll do it anyways, if i can convince aaron to try this again. These steps are each about 2.5 feet wide, and there are 6 of them. Growing up I used to look at this monument, and I never imagined people would skate it. Aaron stomped this varial flip over it in about 20 tries.

Neil down at Victoria Island doing feeble pop out, I think he tried this trick one million times before he landed it, to make it worse, the filmer wasn’t there that day.. what a waste, hopefully by the time this photo appears in my blog he’s landed it.

A view of Halifax from the Citadel around 6pm. I want to go back to Halifax and explore some more of the pubs.

One of the many gigantic cargo ships exiting the Halifax Harbour. I snapped this one just after leaving the Casino short $50.

Our friend Leslie and her friend Lindsay came to hang out with us at the beach for the day. We drank cans of PBR (the usual) and a bottle of wine, it was fantastic. I went swimming while the girls chatted.
